On the Oxygen website, I get to do a weekly blog. I was reading one of the blog comments. It read:
minista you and other eople like you are giving churches and GOD A BADNAME!!!! for you to say that yu became a minister so that you can marrygay people was wrong. if you read and know your bible GOD DOSE NOT AGREEWITH THAT. GOD destroyed a hole city because of that. read Genesischapter 19. the hole thing. i think that you are wrong for that. peoplewill be who they want to be but the bible said for us to be christ like.that means to think and act as he would. god said that he is comingback for a church without a spot or wrinkle. church meaning you, theperson, your sprit.
Obviously this person just doesn't understand, my path, or my background. I decided to give them a little insight so I wrote.

I am not asking anyone to agree with me, but just to respect my views. I became a minister because it was apart of a natural progression in my life but also, life has exposed me to extreme circumstances that many, many others will never experience in their live time. When I was on tour with Madonna, I lived with the most amazing gay man and met his partner. They got engaged in Paris. It was THE MOST beautiful thing that I had ever witnessed in my life. I know GOD. I know am familiar with the words in the bible that were not written by GOD but by man (yes inspired by GOD but still not GOD so it has flaws. Most are not ready to hear that but when one goes to seminary school or studies theology like I did, this is a fact that we have to live with or ignore and sound ignorant). With that being said. GOD is ALL period. IF there is anything that could be taken from the bible is that GOD is the Alpha and Omega... the beginning and the end. SO... I could NEVER give GOD a bad name. GOD existed way before me and after I am gone from this earth... GOD shall still be. IT is the "name" or "label" or limited understanding of GOD that has people thinking that some humans have more rights than others. WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF GOD. It was not easy to declare because my family is mostly Pentecostal Holiness but guess what... GOD in ME is my master and not any denomination, church, or person. I meet my judge in the end... no one else need judge me before then.Thanks for tuning in to the show and please continue to watch. I am in love my relationship with GOD, my understanding and misunderstandings respectably of life lessons. IT is a journey that I have packed my bags for and what I don't have I don't need right now. I will keep on walking, standing, and declaring my beliefs. GOD is Love.
